Bethany Chapel in Wheaton began with a small group of Christians during the Second World War. Our roots are in the Plymouth Brethren—an identity we still enjoy. The Brethren are characterized by zeal for missions, a seriousness regarding the Bible's message, devotion to worship Jesus Christ each Sunday in the breaking of bread, and providing opportunities for service and encouragement.

We practice an openness in our fellowship that reflects the welcome all may receive in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We try to know each other’s names, we do enjoy each other’s company and we represent the span of life from newborns to great Grandparents.  Most importantly, we worship together, learn together and serve together.
